My hair, my crown, my identity.

Our hair tells a story.

Our hair brings us together.

Through our hair we’ve built communal spaces that celebrate our cultural identities and traditions.

Preserving tradition around hair within our communities is about more than just aesthetics; it's a means of honouring cultural identity, promoting diversity, resisting oppression, building community, and empowering us to celebrate our heritage with pride.

I love myself, by loving my hair.

As a half Indian, half Jamaican woman, hair plays an important role in both my cultures. After doing everything imaginable to my hair it was brittle, broken and beyond repair.

Looking to my childhood for hair care inspiration I remembered sitting with my mum in the evenings whilst she combed warm olive and coconut oil through my hair.

Heritage, culture & tradition.

Natural herbal remedies have been passed down through generations. Although India and Jamaica may be worlds apart both cultures share a deep appreciation for healthy, beautiful hair and have rich traditions surrounding hair care and grooming.

Easy, affordable & luxurious hair care.

All natural · All-in-one · All about you

This led to me rediscovering and experimenting with my own natural solutions that would nourish my hair and promote growth.

After developing my own blend, I realised that I had created something that worked well, not only on scalps but beards too, and I wanted to share this with the world.

After much testing and perfecting I founded HOYAL so I could bring you all natural hair care, that’s all about you.
